I saw on Nvidias site that CUDA is a seperate download of 3 apps.
Since I don't game, DVD play back tv-out is the most I use the graphics for, would I be better off w/o the PhysX drivers? It automatically enables itself for anything that uses that engine such as the games and demos on that Nvidia Webpage where you get the drivers.Įven on my setup the Great Kulu pushed my system pretty hard just to keep it at around 30 FPS with all the "eye-candy" turn on at high resolution. It's worth mentioning that there is a notable difference between "Flow" or "Curl Noise" particles (what consoles and PC's with an AMD / Other non Nvidia cards use) and PhysX - The main difference being that the "flow" particles are big and floaty, while the PhysX particles are more glittery looking, and will actually bounce off of surfaces / look more like a fire-work exploding. Upon updating to the latest drivers from I was able to see them again on my laptop with my GeForce GTX 950m. It was strange though because some of them were fine, and some of them were gone - IE: both of Volt's agile and nobile animations produce a mass amount of PhysX effects - these were working - while Banshee's sonic Boom also produces a ton - these were not working.

However when i try to install the 441 driver it fails. To be clear, the issue seems to be that Mass Effect 2 is working with the version of physx provided in the disc, and not with the latest. I was able to use the DDU to get my system cleaned up, this did get rid of my unwanted nvidia physx software that would not uninstall. Another solution would be to, like the first one, uninstall physx from your computer, uninstall Mass Effect 2 and reinstall it.

I had this exact same problem when I was installing the Trilogy edition.
